Announcements

• Robin Goddard—The annual Cades Cove Primitive Baptist singing will take place on the 3rd Saturday in August. Sunday, August 16th at 2pm. Folks are arrive early due to traffic on the Cades Cove loop.
• David Sarten—Practice singings continue on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7pm at Middle Creek United Methodist Church in Sevier County.
• Andrew Whaley— Epworth Old Harp practice singing continues at the Laurel Theater in Knoxville on 3rd Saturdays at 10:00 AM.
• The Wears Valley Convention is scheduled for September 26th & 27th, beginning at 10am with dinner on the grounds each day. The convention will take place at Valley View Baptist Church (Saturday) & Headrick’s Chapel (Sunday).
• David Sarten—Old Harp singers have once again been invited to sing at the Cumberland Gap Folk Fest on the 8th of August. Details to follow on the email list and Facebook group.
• Joe Sarten—New copies of the New Harp of Columbia are to ship from the printer on August 3rd.
• Judy Mincey—Jeremiah Ledbetter has created a wonderful resource at Shapenotesingings.com to find the dates and locations of singings from all shape note tunebooks.
