Little Greenbrier Schoolhouse
Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Tennessee
Sunday, July 18, 2021
All selections from New Harp of Columbia, Restored Edition, 2001.
Minutes of the singing Sunday, July 18th, 2021 at the Little Greenbrier School near Metcalf Bottoms in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Singing schools were held every September, after the harvest was in. Built in 1882, the schoolhouse was last in use as a school building in 1936, but is extremely well preserved and is a wonderful singing space. Robin Goddard, David Sarten, and Andrew Whaley provided park visitors with the history of the area.
