The ninth annual session of the William Walker Memorial Singing was held on the Saturday before the second Sunday in April in the Burwell Building of Wofford College, Spartanburg, South Carolina. Hugh McGraw called the class to order at 9:30 a.m., and taught a brief singing school on shape notes and four-shapes, and then led song on page

Dan Huger followed with brief comments on seven-shapes, and then led song on page

A business session was held with the following officers elected: Chairman—Dr. Harry Eskew; Vice Chairman—Dr. Jhon Akers; Arranging Committee/Secretary—Dan Huger.
