Bill Shetter: b. 1927, d. 2026

William “Bill” Zeiders Shetter (b. 1927, d. 2026) was a gifted musician, playing trombone in the high school, Army, and University marching bands. He also played piano and flute, but most enjoyed playing the viola da gamba in a baroque music group. For many years, he was an enthusiastic Sacred Harp singer, helping to host Singings in Bloomington, and travelling to Sacred Harp Singings around the region. He was also a talented artist and experimented with printmaking and woodcuts.
