Mr. Bill was the fourth generation to be born in the home. Any time he had to travel he would be homesick before he even got out of town. He served as mayor, 1984–1992.
Mr. Bill was an avid Sacred Harp singer and was the Secretary/Treasurer of the Sacred Harp book company for 40 years.
