“I do remember meeting Leonard Westmoreland at Scott's 18th birthday singing (June 10, in 1984, I'd only been in the South for three months by then, had no idea what we were doing or who these people were) and Mr Westmoreland did explain that he only drank clear things. I don't remember the full details but he seemed very serious about clean (my interpretation) clear beverages. I'm pretty sure alcohol was out of the question.”
