Impromptu Singing at the Vermont History Museum
Montpelier, Washington County, Vermont
Saturday, December 6, 2025
Five singers fortuitously found one another in attendance at the closing reception for the exhibit "Vermont's Tunebook Tradition: Composers, Compilers & Singers of Psalmody (1790-2025)," curated by Kerry Cullinan and Noah Meese. In between conversation, they sang from The Sacred Harp, 2025 edition, focusing on composers featured in the exhibit. A further two singers, visiting the museum but unaware of the exhibition, were alerted by the racket and cheerfully joined the group.
