Mandarin Orange Salad

Toast package of slivered almonds
Sugar coat almonds with butter and sugar
Spinach
Chopped celery
Green onions- just chop green part- (not white onion part)
Can of mandarin oranges
Can of water chestnuts- optional

Dressing:
White balsamic vinegar - 4 Tbsp
Sugar - 4 Tbsp
disolve sugar in vinegar over low heat- you can just mix- but it tends to want to separate if you don't disolve with heat
1/2 cup of canola oil (or whatever oil you choose- olive oil or walnut oil is fine)
Snipped parsley
Salt- (sea salt works well)
Black pepper
Red pepper to taste
