Minutes, Middle Creek United Methodist Church singing, Pigeon Forge TN, Sunday, May 7th, 2017. David Sarten noted that the church was founded on an early 19th century Methodist campground where Francis Asbury once preached. The present building dates from 1902, the present singing from its centenary in 2002. We had 25 singers today.

Note 1: Claudia Dean brought in additional verses (by Benjamin Beddome 1787) for ALBANY, which we sang. In SH 33T and in CH 41 and 410.

2. The Son of God in tears, Angels with wonder see; Be thou astonish'd, O my soul, He shed those tears for thee. (2)

3. The wept that we might weep, Each sin demands a tear; In heav'n alone no sin is found. And there's no weeping there. (2)

Note 2: I think we had not sung 29B COME, YE DISCONSOLATE! before. There are additional verses on page 76 of the Harp of Columbia (our Restored Edition appendix), and in Christian Harmony 242 with still more verses, all by Thomas Moore (1824).
