As a faithful and lifelong member of Liberty Baptist Church in Duncanville, he was the oldest serving Deacon. ... Having grown up in a musical family, he loved singing Sacred Harp music and traveling to "all-day singings," singing in the church choir, and serving the elderly by singing in nursing homes.
