The 4th Annual Singing at the Old Fields
Sycamore Shoals State Historic Area
Elizabethton, Carter County, Tennessee
Saturday, November 6, 2010
The weather was cold, with rain, sleet, and snow. Still, there was a good turn-out of singers who braved the elements to come over the mountains and up the valleys to sing together.
It was a two-book singing, The Christian Harmony (‘Carolina book’, 1873 facsimile, 1994 reprint)
(sometimes tagged with `CHw')
and New Harp of Columbia, Restored Edition, 2001
(sometimes tagged with `NHC').
Most leaders led two songs.
Don Wiley welcomed the day leading
381D (CHw), Holy Manna,
followed by Prayer.
The first session was Christian Harmony only.
